SkyUI this mod, which aims to improve Skyrim's user interface, making it Manually Uninstall SkyUI Skyrim Mod 4.1 with Windows Add/Remove Programs. (update September 2018): Campfire has been udpated to v1.12.1 for bug fixes and to optionally support SKSE64 and SkyUI SE. If you have an old SkyUI version installed in NMM, uninstall it, then try again. If there are still problematic files reported, delete them manually.
This is what I did:1. Downloaded SkyUI 2.2 from the Nexus.2. Did it's working seemingly fine. I haven't tested it extensively but so far so good. So as far as I'm concerned I now have SkyUI for SE. This should at least be good enough while waiting for newer version (which might or might not come). So basically it's but without the warnings and the non-functioning search function.I posted this over at the new beta community as well.Posts: 3425 Joined: Wed Jan 31, 2007 9:54 pm.
Yeah, from the title, I cannot uninstall or update SkyUI.What I mean by 'cannot uninstall' is that I CAN un-check it in the load order/delete the files in the data folder and load the game fine, run it fine, do stuff fine, EXCEPT save the game. As soon as the game auto saves, I try to quick save, or manually save, the game immediately crashes.I have removed every mod that is MCM compatible and any others that are scripted, and leaving only SkyUI, and it still crashes as soon as I attempt to save. Some more info. I am using SkyUI from the steam workshop. That is because I have never been able to get SkyUI working through manual install or through NMM. The.esm and.esp files are there, but it will not load it no matter if I manually put them there or install it through NMM. I know the Steam workshop version does the exact thing, it puts the.esm and.esp files into the data folder, but that is the only way it will work.
Skyui Not Working
Even if I replace the Steam workshop.esm and.esp files with the same.esm and.eps files from Nexus, it tells me when I load that 'This save relies on content that is no longer present.' Even though the same.esm and.esp files are there. And when I load the game with the.esm and.esp files from anything other than Steam, SkyUI won't load.Yes, I know I could just start new characters, but I have too much put into mine, and even getting them to the point where they were through console commands is also game breaking.I have been using SKSE version 1.6.16 for a long while, but recently updated to 1.7 and the same problem exists. My game version is 1.9.32.0.8.I also have a previous post blaming SkyUI for other crashes.Any info is appreciated.Edited by AsaHerring, 16 March 2014 - 03:34 AM. Hello,I don't have a fully 'I know what I'm doing bla bla bla' answer, however I'll do my best to help you out with this.First, I'd advise that you get SkyUI running on Nexus Mod Manager, it's a simple click and download install- nothing hard about it.Secondly, Since you've removed your data which the game requires in-game. It still is looking for that data.
Skyui Wont Install
This can cause crashes. What I would do in your position, is:1. Install SkyUI on NMM2. Install all your mods you had previously, checking for conflicts on the forums.3. Create a new save-game for testing4.
Save the game, if it lets you save, then great.- If not, then get back to us.Hope this helped,TehBrillfighter. When I check the data folder the.esp and.esm files are there but it will not load SkyUI. The only way I can get SkyUI to load is if I have the files from steam.I can save on new characters created without using SkyUI.Tried a few different combination of ways but nothing worked for my old saves. I was finally able to get SkyUI updated and working on my old saves. To do so, I had to create a new character without SkyUI, then install the NMM SkyUI and load the new character, then I was able to load my old saves with the SkyUI from steam on them, with the new SkyUI installed by the NMM.
Some weird stuff going on. Not sure why I was not able to switch out the steam.esp and.esm files with the NMM ones, but it only worked after I had got it working on another character. Not sure if this has fixed the crashing I've had caused by, I think, the Steam SkyUI.
How To Uninstall Skyui Manually
This is caused by 'Safety Load', not SkyUI. See its description:-Notes-This mod changes memory allocation, it is dependent on your PC (OS, 32or64bit, memory size etc.).If you have no problem after Installation, Congratulations!
You got all the features. If you have any problem after Installation (CTD when open menu, get more CTD or freeze, graphical glitch etc.), please try:'EnableOnlyLoading = true' in data/SKSE/Plugins/SafetyLoad.ini.This means that it can not block game freezing during play except loading screen. If you still got problems after setting.ini, you cannot use this mod. Sorry.@Uninstalling SkyUIThe problem is that officially, uninstalling mods is not supported by the game.Theoretically, SkyUI should be safe to remove and MCM scripts should recover gracefully - if they don't, there's not much you can do about it.Anyway, what you can do is use this mod:It replaces the SkyUI UI files back with the originals, but you keep the MCM, which is probably better than removing it completely anyway.Edited by schlangster, 20 March 2014 - 03:00 AM.

I guess it's been since its launch since I've had it installed, but I hadn't thought about Safety Load since it does not show up in the load order. I did not have a safetyload.ini in the skse plugins folder, so I updated from 10 to 12 and it was there and I set it to true. And it's not really that I was trying to uninstall SkyUI because I didn't like it, I just thought that it was the origin of my crashing. I do like that I have the option to keep the default look while still having a MCM.
