Have you lost as much hair as I have due to the following? I create a report and get it looking the way I want it to in the SSRS report viewer. Then I send my report to pdf and I’ve got an extra page. One whole page of unused space! I remove as many extra lines as I can from the header, body and footer but still I have an extra page!If this sounds familiar, here is what will help you: change the column width. This problem is deceptive because the issue is that the columns are too wide. It isn’t because the body, header and footer are too long. You can get a feel for what is reserving the extra space by going into the report’s design and changing the background colors on the header, body and footer sections. Set each of them to a different color, then print the report to pdf. You’ll see the colors in the pdf and be able to identify which one is too wide. Then, in the report’s design, shrink up the columns in that section until they fit into a single page. A beautiful one-page report.– Becky Newell.
